Capitol Christian Host Riverdale Baptist
Capital Beltway League action has started and Friday night game was one you did not want to miss. Riverdale Baptist traveled two min up Largo Road to Capitol Christian. The game reached capacity before tip off. The Warriors got after the Crusaders early in the first quarter, but never saw the lead again afterwards. Tyrese Samuel the 6’9 forward for Riverdale Baptist was everything and more. He lead all scorers with 19 points to go along with 11 rebounds and two blocked shots. Louis Wilson the head coach of the Crusaders made a line up change and started sophomore Ayan Teel and junior Donovan Toatley together. The change looked good as the backcourt combined for 25 points and controlled the tempo of the game. Seniors Deion Hammond and Cyril Ogbagu combined for 23 points. Hammond finished the game with a few monster dunks himself. The Warriors received good play for Alvin Cox, who got to the basket at will. Cox finished the game with 17 points. Sophomore Judah Jordan in his first game back from an ankle injury finished with 14 points. Looking forward to following these two teams throughout the season.
